about girltime,
Girltime is inspired by God's love for humanity.

God created us not out of a need to be appeased, but a desire for us to experience the joy of unconditional love. He made a way through Jesus to bring us back to the truth of this love whenever we are ready to make the choice to receive it (John 3:16-17).

Life on our own without God brings eternal suffering and hurt, but God's love makes suffering and hurt temporary. He heals our relationship with Him, changes our lives and transforms sinners to redeemed.

The more we realise He loves us, the more we realise we need Him.
The more we realise we need Him, the more we realise how unconditional His love is.
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

To lead each other into God's healing love, we desire to bring Him glory in all we do —
'whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God' (1 Corinthians 10:31);

it is our prayer, that Girltime is God time too.

for the word of God is living and active,
sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing to the division of soul and of spirit,
of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
and no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
hebrews 4:12-13
I asked a friend to watch sermons together over a home-cooked meal. We sat on the rug, munching on salmon and asparagus.
My friend asked me to choose what I wanted to watch.

Feeling the pressure, I pointed to one of the sermon thumbnails that left an impression on me and she agreed it seemed like a good pick.

I didn't think the sermon would touch both of us so deeply.

We found ourselves sobbing. The sermon spoke words of Jesus that pierced our core (hebrews 4:12-13).

It was then my friend expressed a deep longing to be part of a God-centred community. We surrendered the desire to God in prayer.

At the end of the night, we said goodbye when the words,
'this is a house of healing for women' came to my mind.
I remember thinking, 'God, would you really say that when I myself am in a season of so much grief and doubt? How am I supposed to bring You glory when I'm so broken and hurt?'
22 july until now
but God, being rich in mercy,
because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ —
by grace you have been saved — and raised us up with him and seated us with him in
the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that
in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
for by grace you have been saved through faith. and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
for we are his workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should
walk in them.

let not steadfast love and
faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
so you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.
trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
it will be healing to your flesh and
refreshment to your bones.

In the months that followed, I met many girls who desired to know Jesus more alongside other women.

The idea to create an event where they could all meet came to mind.

God continued to piece every step together — from timing things perfectly to inspiring ideas and providing help...

It happened despite all my doubt that it was possible in the midst of all the stormy situations I faced in life.

I realised, 'God is behind every testimony, not us, because the testimony is about who God is, what He does and what He did — despite
who we are, what we do and where we are on our journey'.
We had our first Girltime event. It was a Tea Time event, meaning its purpose was to pursue God through Godly friendship between women of all ages, a different way to 'spill the tea' that brings glory to God and brings us closer to Him.

After the event, some of us continued to the beach after,
where the idea to read The Meaning of Marriage by Tim & Kathy Keller came up. At a church the next day, I met another girl who wanted to read and discuss the book together.
A couple days later, I messaged a book-loving friend and the monthly book club was formed.
We launched girltime.online.

our prayer remains the same. it will never change:
God, we ask girltime be a space for You to have Your way in us —
let girltime always and forever be God time too.
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus
or good works, which God beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
